Baby Ellie is 7 months old! She is growing and changing so much each and every day. She is “sort of” sitting up. I can put her down on the ground and she will lean over like a pretzel. She gets frustrated after a few minutes of trying, so it’s fun while it lasts!
Here she is yesterday at Chess Club – there was another baby there her age, and they sat together on the blanket. So sweet!
She can roll easily onto her tummy from her back. Once she gets in this position, she’s kind of stuck. She’s happy as long as she has something to do – her mind is very active, and she wants things to figure out! On this day, Violet (3) was talking and singing to her – which made her so happy!
Ellie always has someone with her – holding her, talking to her, reading to her, and singing to her! She is very loved, and she is very much a people person. She loves her people.
This week, Ellie learned to clap and wave! She will clap and smile and laugh whenever someone does something funny. It’s so cute! She loves to “talk” and we’re pretty sure she can say Daddy and Boo! Or at least, she jibber jabbers and then eventually those words come out along with daddda, baaabaaa, and lots of squeals and laughs.
For sleep, she naps a lot in the Baby Carrier – this is my view most days during her naps! Some days I can lay her down, as long as I stay with her and hold her when she’s sleeping. If I leave her side, she wakes right up! She is very happy, even when she wakes up after not sleeping. She is the happiest baby – always smiling and laughing.
I got a new baby carrier for my birthday! I figure since I wear my carriers like clothing – I could use a new one after so many years! She loves to be carried around and help me with everything I do all day! It’s a great help to me – and I can do things like take everyone to Adventure City by myself – because I have Ellie right here with me, helping me in the carrier. 🙂
And then when Daddy gets home, Ellie loves for him to carry her around, too!
Ellie is getting her very first tooth! I noticed yesterday afternoon that it popped through – it’s a little sharp pearl peeking up through the surface of her gums. She seems okay with it – not fussy, thankfully!
As you can probably tell from her chubbiness, she is a very well fed baby! Ha! She is nursing very well, and growing so fast! Sometimes I put her in Violet’s outfits (size 3T) and they fit fine. She is very big – she’s long, and well…enormous!
Ellie weighs about 26 pounds – and that’s in the morning with no diaper on! So – she’s a big girl. I definitely get a workout carrying her around 24/7. Have you heard of CrossFit? I am doing BabyFit. Ha! I wonder if she’ll end up being really tall or if she’s just an early grower. Time will tell!
I can’t believe she is 7 months old already! She fits right into our family, and I can hardly remember a time when she wasn’t here with us. She is our joy and we all love her so dearly! There hasn’t been one ounce of sibling jealousy – we are all SO smitten with her, think she’s the sweetest doll baby, and love her to pieces. How thankful we are that she came into our lives. We are so very grateful!
Happy 7 Months, Baby Ellie! We love you to the moon and back, and a thousand times around the sun!
