Hi and Welcome!
My name is Erika and I am a busy homeschooling mom to four youngsters. They keep me on my toes!
My oldest is Paprika, age 9. She loves art, music, writing…and, well, anything creative!
Ginger is our 6 year old dynamo. She loves math, reading, and most of all… cuddling!
Violet (age 3) is all energy, all the time! She loves gymnastics and thinks the world is her own jungle gym.
Ellie is our baby, born in January 2015! She’s pretty much attached at the hip to yours truly. I know how fast that changes, so I’m holding her for as long as I can. 🙂
I also blog about our identical twin daughters, Vivian and Annemarie, who passed away shortly before birth in July 2008 due to Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS). They will always be part of our family – and they have changed me as a mother in tremendous ways. All of my girls teach me so many lessons – Vivian and Annemarie perhaps most of all! 🙂
Before becoming a mom, I graduated with an MFA in Film Producing from the USC School of Cinematic Arts. I worked in Hollywood for shows like The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. That was fun! Then I went to Law School at UC Berkeley and worked as an Entertainment Attorney before deciding to stay home full-time.
My husband still works in the entertainment biz, editing some big movies and television shows you have probably seen! I call him “Mr. M” on this blog – it’s a nickname he came up with himself. It stands for Mr. Mustaradayonnaise (from Mr. Show). What can I say, he has a sense of humor!
I believe in building strong families through simple living, gentle parenting, and living a life of gratitude.
Thanks for stopping by…I hope you stick around! I look forward to getting to know ya!
