Paprika turned ELEVEN (!!!) in August. Where does the time go? 🙂 Her birthday fell mid-week and her birthday wish was to spend the whole day with her Dad in Hollywood. I didn’t think it would happen because Evan has been working A LOT of hours – this summer he worked on Bachelor In Paradise, The Toy Box, and Dancing With The Stars.
We tried to make it work – the original plan was that Paprika and Evan would spend the morning of her birthday doing touristy stuff around Hollywood, and then she would spend the rest of the day with Evan at work while he edited The Toy Box. (She has visited her dad at work many times, so she’s seen what goes on behind the scenes).
(In Hollywood – Outside Maddam Toussad’s – Paprika’s Eleventh Birthday):
Well, due to some footage not coming in that day – Evan was able to take the WHOLE day off to spend with Paprika in Hollywood. They did all the touristy stuff she’s always wanted to do – but never done before.
They went to see a movie at Grauman’s Chinese Theater – they saw The Nut Job 2. Ha!
Outside Grauman’s, they have all the famous handprints of the stars from Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe...to the modern day film icons. Paprika was especially excited to see Tim Burton’s spot at the theater, since she wants to be a film director when she grows up – and Tim Burton is a creative inspiration to her.
Next they went to the Hollywood Walk of Fame! Paprika had to get a picture with Robert Zemeckis’s star, of course! 🙂
Back home, we made a cake especially for the birthday girl – her favorite: chocolate cake with chocolate icing. 🙂
Waiting to sing Happy Birthday. 🙂
Paprika blowing out her candles – I wonder what she wished for?!
Paprika, I’m so glad you had a wonderful birthday. I love you to the moon and back!!! I hope this is your best year yet! 🙂
