This time a week ago, I was in labor at the hospital. Now, I am home holding our precious daughter on my lap (she’s sleeping!) while I type this post. What a difference a week makes. 🙂
Today (Sunday) is my due date – I would be 40 weeks today. It seems surreal that I could be pregnant still today – and possibly for a few more weeks. The more I think about it, the more I am amazed by pregnancy and the miracle of life. Truly – it is magical…
This is me and baby girl (I still have to think of a blog name!) on Monday, the night we got home from the hospital. I was so tired because I still had not slept! Even though I was exhausted, I decided to take a shower…my first shower post-delivery. It was bliss! 🙂 So, here I am with wet hair after my shower:
I can’t stop looking at her!
So, here’s what we’ve been up to all week. You may notice a theme. Ha!
Her big sisters, her daddy, and her Grandpa have been having lots of fun. I will post pictures of all their adventures soon. They’ve been going to the park, to the library, swimming at the pool, and they even made a trip to the California Science Museum! At home, they’ve been reading, playing in the backyard, making banana bread, and making Grandpa watch Princess movies. I think he might even enjoy them! Ha!
Baby has been at home and taking it all in. Mostly, she likes to nap and eat and cuddle. It is the best thing ever. I wish I could bottle every second of life right now. Since I can’t, I’m savoring every moment. I know the newborn days pass quickly and I don’t want to miss any of it. I don’t even want to close my eyes – ahhh, she is bliss! I love her more than words can describe, and I am so incredibly thankful and grateful for every second with her!
Happy Due Date and Happy One Week, Precious Sweetheart! 🙂
