We have been knee deep in the house stuff, in homeschooling stuff, and in LIFE stuff. But even in the craziness, we’ve had a few moments to catch our breath. Here are some snapshots from the last week!
Veteran’s Day – the girls were so excited about the flags:
Grandma Pat came to visit for a few days. Let’s just say that Violet kept her very busy! Haha! 😉
We’ve been hitting the park as much as we can. The other day we were there and all of a sudden it got very chilly. The girls were in sundresses, and I happened to have extra pajamas in the van. I swear, I carry everything in that van! Problem solved- they wore their pajamas at the park and were so happy (and snuggly!):
Violet is half acrobat, I swear!
Oh, I almost forgot to mention it – Violet said her first SENTENCE this week! Do you know what it was?! I LOVE YOU. Now she can say all the variations: I love mommy. I love daddy. I love Ginger. I love Paprika.
It is twelve kinds of adorable. I kind of don’t want her to learn any more sentences for awhile because I love hearing that one.
The girls spent an hour piling up leaves by hand and then jumping into them. They thought it was SO fun! They yearn for snow, but that’s not happening – they keep asking WHEN will it snow?!!!! I think we may have to travel to see some real snow! 🙂
Paprika wore my jacket – and flashed me the I Love You sign (our family sign). Never get tired of seeing that!
Paprika has taken to giving everyone piggy back rides (well, just Ginger and Violet). Violet will stand there and yell: Piggie! Piggie! Piggie! until she gets a ride. Can you see the joy on Violet’s face?! Paprika is a great sport:
And last, but not least, Violet is our resident alarm clock. She wakes everyone in the house up in the morning. With Paprika, she rushes into her bedroom, up to the top bunk, and hugs her awake. On this particular morning, she had a flashlight and shined it right into Paprika’s eyes. That’s a little sister for ya! Haha!
