We spent our weekend relaxing and soaking up baby snuggles. I’m thankful our little guy is such a happy, easy, laid back baby.
Evan was home this weekend, so he took the girls on some fun adventures. He took them out to get fancy cupcakes at a local bakery, they went on a long bike ride, made a trip to the park, and they even went to the mall to see the new fountain!
I stayed close to home because I’m still recovering physically. I played Legos with the girls while baby napped, and I even managed a few long walks around the neighborhood with Paprika. My body is still in a lot of pain from childbirth and from the severe SPD that I’ve had for about seven months now… (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symphysis_pubis_dysfunction), so I took my mobility scooter around the neighborhood while Paprika walked. It was nice to get out and get some fresh air. 🙂

On Friday, we had some very special visitors. Devon and her girls came to see us! Violet was so excited, she got dressed up in all pink for the occasion.
Meeting the baby:
There he is!
The girls played together all day, and we rarely saw them! I caught a glimpse of the younger set as they passed through the living room and took a quick picture.
Here’s a group shot of us. Ten years of friendship (almost). I can’t believe it! What a wonderful day!

Ellie (3) has been extra sweet and kind lately. She’s growing out of her bossy toddler phase… And although she is still very confident and headstrong, she’s also been so much nicer lately. She’s stepped into her big sister role in such a beautiful way.
I adore her and appreciate her more than ever. It’s amazing how much older she seems now that baby is here.
No matter how grown up she gets, she’ll always be my baby. 🙂
Until further notice, I’ll be snuggling my favorite little guy and trying to catch a few hours of sleep here and there. It’s hard to stop staring at his cute cheeks – we are all so in love with him.
