Me: Um, yes. Hollywood is a city where Daddy works. They make TV shows and movies there.
Paprika: Oh, I thought it’s where people danced and sang on stage and became famous.
Me: What? Where did you hear about Hollywood?
Paprika: In the book, Diva Duck on FarFaria – (Children’s Reading App) – Diva Duck goes to Hollywood to become famous.
Me: What is famous? What does that mean?
Paprika: What is famous?! Moooommmm! You’ve got to be kidding me! You don’t know what famous means?! It’s like Elvis Press. Elvis Press is famous.
Me: Elvis Press?
Paprika: You now…Elvis Press. The singer.
Me: Oh, right. Do you know anyone else who is famous?
Paprika (thinking…): Um, no.
Me: What about J.K. Rowling?
Paprika: Well, she IS an author, but I don’t think people care too much for her books. They’re much too scary.
Me: Okay, what about Mo Willems?
Paprika: He writes good stories, but he needs to work on his illustrations. He could do better. Not famous.
Me: Do you want to be famous when you grow up?
Paprika: When I grow up, I want to write children’s stories and have true friends. That’s being famous in my book…
