First things first – Ginger (7) lost her first tooth last week!
It came out when she was biting into a cookie. She chomped on it and thought it was a chocolate chip. Thankfully, she didn’t swallow it!
She does not want the Tooth Fairy to come. She wants to keep her tooth forever. I remember that until last year, the idea of Santa Claus horrified her. She would say, “What do you mean a strange man is going to break into our house in the middle of the night? This is a good thing?!” Haha.
In other news, it’s been super hot – so we’ve been beating the heat! The sprinkler is a big hit – we try not to run it too much because of the drought in Southern California. On the days we run it, we don’t bathe, so it all works out! LOL
Violet (4) is a fan of the water! She wasn’t sure at first, but then she warmed up to the idea:
Paprika sat with me on the back porch and watched her little sisters in the sprinkler. She cooled off with some ice in a fancy cup. 🙂
Who knew you could have so much fun with a hose?!:
They decided to make a “water slide” – how inventive is that?! One person would spray the hose on the slide while the other slid down. So fun!
Paprika is learning to ride a bike! Mr. M has been working with her – she’ll get it one of these days (hopefully):
Today we went over to our friends’ house for the day. They have a 10 foot wide above ground pool in their yard. It was perfect for the little kids because it is only about 3 feet deep! Violet was so scared of the water at first – but then once she got in the pool, she didn’t want to get out!
Paprika brought her Mermaid Linden Monofin with her today and taught her friend how to use it! They had a blast in the little pool together.
We’ve been so busy lately, Miss Ellie has missed her nap a few days. Twice this week, she’s fallen asleep just like this! It’s tough work being 18 months old. 🙂
