Today, Miss Violet turns 4 years old! 🙂 I can’t believe all that’s happened in the 4 short years since she was born! Here is the blog post I wrote about her first birthday – time flies!
Violet is hilarious (or ILL-arious, as she pronounces it). She is such a joy-filled, happy person, and she’s always up for adventure. For being such a little person, she’s got a huge personality. I love her so much and I feel like I’m the luckiest person on Earth because I get to spend every day with her. She kinda owns my heart. 🙂
A sister picture on Sunday – her LAST day of being 3 years old:
I love this picture of Violet – another one of her “Last Day of Three” pics. It pretty much sums up her personality. She is sunshine, freedom, and a little flower all rolled into one. 🙂
Violet on the monkey bars – she is SO active. Looking back on that old blog post from when she turned 1, I realize that she’s ALWAYS been super active. It’s just in her personality. She’s constantly moving and pushing the bounds physically. That’s probably why she says: Gymnastics is my passion!
She loves being active and physical:
Ginger loves climbing trees. 🙂 Ginger (6) reminds me of a kitty cat – she loves to climb high (alone) and wants to push the boundaries but please don’t touch her when she’s doing it. Ha!
Violet at sunset on the playground. I love watching her run ahead – she is always ten steps ahead of me, no matter how I try to keep up!
But – she didn’t want to miss Gymnastics! 🙂 She said we should go to Disneyland on a day when she didn’t have Gymnastics so she wouldn’t have to miss it.
We decorated the house for her birthday. She really wanted balloons and streamers. Boom, done!
We had fresh waffles with real maple syrup for breakfast. And then we baked the birthday cake! She wanted to help her daddy make the cake, so he obliged. He’s really serious about his birthday cakes – but if the Birthday Girl wants to help, who can say no to that?!
We opened half her presents before gymnastics.
She was so excited by her dolls, she wanted to play with them – so we decided to leave her other presents for after cake in the evening:
After Gymnastics, we came home and ordered her favorite: Pepperoni Pizza! Then, after dinner – I took the big girls to piano while Violet stayed home and played with Baby Ellie and Daddy.
The big girls at Piano tonight:
Then, as soon as we got home from piano – we had cake! A homemade cake, made with love (and lots of candles):
As you can tell, the cake was a huge success:
Then, for the final gift of the night – she opened something she’s been wanting for months – a wedding dress so she can marry her Handsome! I have more updates on Handsome – we even went to his birthday party last week! Violet was beyond excited, as you might imagine. 😉
Miss Violet, where did you come from?! We love you to the moon and back and a thousand times around the sun. Never in my wildest dreams could I imagine a person more perfect for our family. You are the greatest gift, and we treasure you more than you can know. We love you, sweetheart! Happy, happy 4th Birthday!
