Happy Friday! Thanks so much for the kind words of congrats on my book release yesterday! 🙂 Mostly, the girls were really excited to download it to their free Kindle app on the iPad. They’d already read the book before it came out, of course! They are my beta readers. But, there’s something nice about having an official copy. Ha!
So, I wanted to post a few more pictures from this week (and last…and let’s face it, I STILL haven’t posted our Easter pics!)
One fun thing we did this week was have Homeschool Book Club at our house! Yes, we hosted it this time – and guess what we read for book club? My book, of course! We read the first LOL Detective Club Mystery – which was super fun for me. The leader of our group suggested it, so it wasn’t MY idea. But, when she suggested it, I thought it would be fun. We had a great day – book club lasted for about SIX hours!
Mostly, the kids just played the day away, doing all kinds of creative and fun outdoor activities while the moms socialized (we were watching the kids, too, don’t worry).
I didn’t get many pictures during the day because I was too busy running Book Club. But, my friend Sam sent me this picture from the end of the day. How sweet is this?!
We’ve been doing a lot of gymnastics this week because Ginger (6) was sick most of last week. So, we are doing make-up classes almost every day! This is Violet (4) at gymnastics. She loves the color green – can you tell?! Ha!
While Ginger and Violet are at gymnastics (for 2 hours), I usually hang out in the parking lot walking around in a circle trying to get Baby Ellie to take a nap. This is my view of the parking lot on most days. Isn’t it SO glamorous?! Haha:
I love it when Ellie falls asleep – but sometimes, she’s just WIDE awake the whole time. Like this:
This week, it was SO windy (like hurricane grade winds) – that I couldn’t be out in the parking lot or we would’ve blown away. So, I sat in the van with Ellie and Paprika for 2 hours. Paprika always brings a big book to read and she’s so happy sitting outside in the sun or hanging in the lobby. This time, she stayed in the van with us!
This was us playing peek-a-boo in the parked van while we waited for Ginger and Violet’s two-hour class on Monday. What can I say – we know how to have fun! 🙂
(Gymnastics does have a lobby where we can hang out, but it’s very crowded and they have trophies and glass everywhere that Ellie could very easily break. So, we made do! It was pretty fun, all things considered.)
Oh – one other cool thing happened at gymnastics this week. One of the girls on the Elite Team is going to the 2016 Summer Olympics! How cool is that?! I love watching her work out every time we’re there- she practically lives at the gym. Are you surprised?!
Me and Violet at the park earlier this week:
I’ve been taking the girls on individual dates whenever I can. If Mr. M gets home at a reasonable hour, sometimes I’ll sneak out with Paprika to a movie. She LOVES that so much.
Last week, we went to see The Jungle Book! It would have been way too intense for Ginger and Violet – but Paprika was fine with it (mostly).
This is Paprika in front of the signage at the theater – you have to look REALLY closely at the bottom of the picture to see her. The Jungle Book sign was SO HUGE!:
After our movie ended, I wanted to sneak her into the 3D movie to show her what that was like (it was the late show, and the whole theater was empty). She got SO mad at me – furious! She was like: If we get in trouble, this is ALL on you! I can’t believe you would do such a thing. What are you thinking? Have you lost your mind?!
She was so horrified. I really don’t have to worry about Paprika ever breaking the rules. She’s as good as they come. Really!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend! This was me last week trying to get a group shot with the girls. Sometimes these things don’t always work out, but it’s always fun trying! Hahaha.
