Happy July! We’ve had an exciting couple of weeks here… Let’s see, after Paprika got sick, we all fell like dominoes, and there were about two weeks when none of us were feeling our usual selves. Knock on wood, that’s all behind us for at least awhile.
The show Mr. M was working on (a CW show called Famous in 12) got cancelled last week, so he abruptly found himself out of a job. He’s been off this week – and it’s been like getting an unexpected vacation. Thankfully, he got hired to work on The Bachelor – and this next season sounds like it is going to be awesome! We’ve been watching The Bachelorette (the current season) to get up to speed. Fun!
We spent a day up at the Getty Villa in Malibu. Everyone LOVED it – it was perfect. As we pulled into the parking garage, we realized we had left the stroller at home – which was a MAJOR issue since we’d be viewing some artwork and sculptures over 2000 years old. Not sure Violet (age 2) would get the memo to keep fingers OFF.
But what do you know – they had free strollers available at the already FREE museum. Crazy, right?!
So, not all was lost and we had a great day strolling around the museum and letting the girls run wild and free on the grounds.
We split up for a bit, and I took Ginger around the museum by herself while Mr. M spent time with the other girls in the gardens. Can you tell Ginger likes having one on one time with me?! Haha…
We also went to our favorite playground overlooking the beach! Ahhh – I could never get tired of this view:
We also did a lot of everyday stuff, like go to the library:
Why do they always play on the computers at the library?! Go figure!
We got the car smogged…it’s ALL glamour at the smog check place! Haha! The girls had a great time and thought the whole process was fascinating. It’s great to see these seemingly mundane tasks become so exciting in the eyes of a child:
We went to the park a MILLION times:
and we went on walks around the neighborhood:
So – that’s been what we’ve been up to! Oh yes, and I couldn’t forget to mention…this week, we found Snakey!
We thought he slithered away when we moved to our new house, but nope…he came home! Of course, he has been getting LOTS of TLC, extra bubble baths, and even fang brushing! He was a missed pet…and everyone is glad he is home! 😉
