On Wednesday, Miss Violet had her LAST day of being FIVE years old. I wanted to do something fun for her that day, so we had a yes day. (She asked me to do things, and I said YES – whenever possible. Haha.)
First, we had to take Paprika (11) to her art class. It meets for a few hours in the afternoons, and she couldn’t miss it!
On the bench outside Paprika’s art class:
We went to lunch at Violet’s favorite place, Island’s. Violet got French Fries and water – and that’s it! Haha.
Violet really wanted to go to the mall and look at all the pretty stores, so we did that. We never go to the mall, so it’s an exciting place for her – can you tell? Haha.
Her favorite store is Pottery Barn Kids. This model is called “The Blythe Bed” – which the girls just loved. It is sooo fancy!
We went to the Godiva store and bought chocolates. The girls ate the whole box of chocolate in about three seconds. I guess they liked it! Haha.
We walked around the mall for another hour or so, looking at all the pretty stores. I was on high alert about someone breaking something in one of the many fancy stores we visited. Thankfully, nothing got broken – and I breathed a sigh of relief when we came home. Ha!
Once we got home, we read books – including Violet’s favorite book of all-time: Encyclopedia of Minecrafters! Haha. Luckily, she is a very strong reader now (about 3rd grade level) – so she can read ME the books, and I can lay there with my eyes closed and nod like I’m paying attention. Ha! (You can only hear about redstone so much before you start to go crazy).
All in all, it was a great day. And the next day – her birthday – we even better! So far, being six years old is treating Violet very well. She says she doesn’t feel any different – I think she thought she’d magically feel different the moment she turned 6. Whatever age she is, she is perfect to me! 🙂
