The day after the DWTS Finale, it was back to usual for moi. Paprika (11) had her afternoon art class, so I loaded up Mama’s Taxi (aka my minivan) and took everyone with me to drop Paprika at her class. Evan was still asleep – I think he slept about 16 hours straight after the Finale, and he really needed the rest.
After we dropped Paprika at her class, I took the girls to McDonald’s for a lunch treat. 🙂
Waiting for lunch to be served. 🙂
After we finished up with lunch, we still had over an hour until we needed to go pick up Paprika. Since the local schools were on Thanksgiving Break, I took the girls to Paprika’s old school playground. It was totally empty! Ginger (8) loves the monkey bars:
Ginger has never cut her hair – except for that one time Paprika cut it for her when she was barely two years old. She loves it that way, and I have stopped trying to sneak in a trim. Ha! 🙂
That night, I took Paprika to the movie theater to see Murder on the Orient Express. She has been wanting to see it because she read the Agatha Christie book about a year ago.
Here she is in front of the Thor display in the lobby:

While we were at the movies, Evan took the sisters to Baskin Robbins for ice cream and then to the beach to play in the sand. Even though it was only about 8pm, it was very dark – and the girls thought it was so cool to see the pier and the beach in the moonlight.

Then we came home and got ready for Thursday (Thanksgiving). Ginger (8) had big plans for what she wanted to bake for the holiday. More on that next post. 🙂
