I’m excited to announce that we have a new member in the family. 🙂 It’s been a long almost ten months getting here, but we did it!
A few pictures…these are all cell phone pics. We’ve taken a lot on the DSLR, but as usual – I haven’t had a minute to download them. So, cell phone pics will have to do for now! 🙂
Our last OB appointment – 39 weeks pregnant!

Me in labor – in the middle of a contraction – ha!
My hospital gown – this time I brought my own gown with me to the hospital – and it really helped me feel extra human during the delivery. I was so glad I had it – and kinda wished I’d done it for all the other births. Live and learn. 🙂

Getting ready to meet baby:
We always have the same labor and delivery room at Cedars (except for the twins, and for Paprika – I was in the maternal ICU for her delivery). I love this room because it has a beautiful view of the Hollywood Hills, and you can see the Hollywood sign from the bed. 🙂 Our baby was born at 7:01pm, right as the sun was setting. The light was a brilliant gold coming into the room. When I delivered Ellie (3) in this same room, the sun was rising and we had a golden hue filtering in from the east. It was amazing both times!
This picture was taken earlier in the day – when there was a helicopter landing on the roof just overhead!
If you squint, you can see the Hollywood Sign:
I will post more about the birth soon. It was amazing in the most beautiful way imagineable. I am enjoying this newborn time so much. The girls are with Evan right now at piano lessons (he went back to work already!) – and I have a few minutes alone right now to enjoy the snuggles of our squishy baby. 🙂
