Tonight was the Dancing With The Stars Finale – how exciting is it that Miss Bindi Irwin won?! Paprika will be SO thrilled! 🙂
Mr. M has been working long hours for the Finale Week, and he is enjoying himself right now at the Wrap Party for the show.
While he is at the party, I am home with FOUR sick kiddos! Ay-yai-yai.
Miss Ellie Belly (9 months) started feeling sick on Friday evening, and she’s just been a congested wreck. The other girls have caught her bug, and I’ve been dealing with a lot of vomit, coughing, congestion, and misery…
One child (I’m not naming names) vomited all over the rug, and then when I took her into the bathroom, she threw up on the wall, completely missing the toilet. I was like…really?!
We’ve basically been home-bound for the past four days, except for one time when we walked around the block to the Little Free Library (which is a bookshelf on someone’s front lawn). The glamour is just too much! Haha – I’m kidding.
One fateful night, I was up at 5am (I hadn’t slept yet) – and I discovered THIS thing on Amazon. I was horrified, then intrigued, then horrified. Then, I didn’t order it – I waited for two days because I assumed it was frivolous or it wouldn’t work.
Then, yesterday, I was at the end of my very frayed rope – and I decided to get it on Amazon Now, which is a service they have here in Los Angeles where you can order Amazon products on your phone and they arrive within 2 hours. So, I ordered that and a humidifier out of desperation.
OH MY STARS – it was AWESOME! Total game changer! Three hours from the time I placed my order, I had a happy, snot-free baby. How great is technology?!
Tonight, Ginger was feeling better, so I slipped out with her for a quick trip to Barnes and Noble when Mr. M stopped at home to change clothes for the Wrap Party. 🙂 It’s our happy hang-out:
I even ran into an old friend from Film School – what a happy coincidence. 🙂 Ginger and I hung out in the Cafe and shared her enormous cookie. Sugar always makes things a little better doesn’t it? At least temporarily. Ha!
I know everyone is getting ready for Thanksgiving – and we’ve got a few fun festivities planned here, too. I hope everyone has a safe, healthy, and happy holiday! I am thankful for so many things – too many to list. Thanksgiving always seems an especially good time to remember that…
