On Friday, I took the girls to the park for the afternoon after we were done with our homeschool lessons.
Ginger (6) insisted on wearing her Daddy’s shirt – and would not brush her hair (of course)! It’s not worth the tears to get her to wear regular clothes – even though we have a small army of beautiful outfits she could wear (passed down from big sister, Paprika). But nope, it’s got to be Daddy’s shirt! It makes me long for the days when she would only wear pajamas in public. LOL
Violet (4) at the park on Friday:
So, on Saturday – I jokingly told Ginger that if she kept wearing her Dad’s shirts in public, the Fashion Police were going to come arrest her. (Totally joking).
Well, I found out later that she didn’t think it was a joke – because look: She wore REAL clothes and she brushed her hair! 🙂 Haha.
I felt a little bad later when I realized WHY she was wearing regular clothes. I had to explain that, no, the fashion police aren’t REAL police!
More Park Pictures… Paprika (9) spent the park outing walking around by herself telling herself stories (her most favorite thing in the world to do!) – so there are no pictures of her from today.
Violet (4) is getting so good at the monkey bars:
Ellie (15 months) crawls ALL OVER the ground whenever we go to the park now and gets totally filthy. I don’t want my baby getting dirty…but it’s part of the process, I guess. You would think I would’ve figured that out by now! Haha.
I’m going to do a post just about Ellie soon – she is doing so many fun things! She can stand on her own for a few brief seconds before falling over. Mr. M and I have a bet as to when she’ll walk. He says 16 months and I say 18 months! Of course, he keeps changing his answer because a few months ago, he was saying 14 months. Ha!
Well, anyway – she’ll walk when she’s ready! 🙂
As you can see, crawling around the playground is a a dirty process. Look at those knees!
Ginger likes to carry Ellie everywhere!:
So, those were our little park outings the last two days. Take a close look at this next picture because it might be the last time in awhile you see Ginger wearing regular clothes. I’ve even considered buying her Men’s T-shirts, just so she doesn’t steal too much of her Dad’s wardrobe! But, I guess the fact that it’s his shirt is sort of the point. 🙂
What can I say? I agree with that saying: All good things are wild and free… -Thoreau
And Miss Ginger, certainly is wild, free, and most definitely good! 🙂
