Remember how I said that I needed to post more pictures of Violet (5)? Well, this post is it! Do you see that first picture? She always wants to pose with her hands just like that – cradled under her chin. I do not know why! It makes me laugh every time. 🙂
Violet is a funny, sweet, GOOD girl. Evan and I say that if our family is like the TV show “The Munsters” – Violet is “Marilyn Munseter” – you know, the normal one of the family. 🙂 That’s Marilyn Munster in the polka dot dress below:
Coincidentally, Violet has been obsessed with polka dots since the summer and wants to wear only polka dots! Hrmmmm… 🙂
Anyhoo – I love all the girls (obviously) – they are all wonderful in their own way and each have their own unique, distinctive personalities that are entirely irreplaceable. I really love them all equally. I REALLY do!
Violet is by far the most level headed, fun, easy going, and “normal” of all our kids. Ha! She has no phobias, no anxieties, and no over-arching fears. She is extroverted, friendly, easy to be with, and even-keeled. She learns things easily and quickly, and is self-directed and also takes direction well. She is not a perfectionist. She doesn’t have extreme anxiety (no offense, Ginger). She doesn’t have Autism (no offense, Paprika – and Autism isn’t a bad thing!) And she doesn’t scream Moookie in my face all day because she wants to breastfeed (hi, Ellie!)
I’ll just say that Violet is very easy – and so I have to make sure that she doesn’t fall through the cracks or miss out on attention because she isn’t the squeakiest wheel. If I had only Violet, I would think I was the most amazing mom on the planet and that raising kids was a very easy job. All joy all the time! They raise themselves! (I can hear myself now – LOL!)
She is like a double scoop of ice cream on a hot summer day. 🙂
We got her a beach cruiser on Craigslist last weekend so she can go for bike rides with her sisters (and me!)
We probably wouldn’t have gotten the bike because it wasn’t in as good of shape as was listed in the Craigslist listing. BUT – she went with Evan to look at it…so, you know how that goes! They came home with it and Evan couldn’t even haggle on the price because it was obvious Violet was drooling over the bike. No hard bargains were had that day. 🙂
I installed some training wheels on the bike today – and she was so happy with it. The first thing she did was go around the block with Ginger (7) – just the two of them. How grown up and happy she felt. 🙂
Their little cars continue to be big hits! We got the pink Barbie car for Violet (also Craigslist) – so now we’re like a caravan around the neighborhood. Paprika and I usually ride our bikes behind the cars – so we’re a little parade going through town.
Hope you’re having a great week…
Until next time…
