prescription water pills lasix We have been up to so many things, I couldn’t fit it all into Tuesday’s post, so I’m back today to talk about a few of the fun things we’ve been up to this week.
generic viagra online canada pharmacy cheap Last night, I took Paprika (12) to see the movie Alita Battle Angel. It’s Ski Week here (that means local schools are on vacation for a week) – so the theater was pretty packed with teenage boys…and us! It was fun, though.
serious side efeects of accutane There were props from the film in the lobby of the theater – that’s definitely a perk of living in Los Angeles.

Also, I have acclimated to my glasses prescription – finally! I’m loving the glasses life, and even bought a second pair…
The hunky hearth-throb in the movie rides a unicycle (!!) – Yes, it’s a motorcycle, but it’s a unicycle. It made me laugh.
Ginger (9) is back to baking! She stopped for awhile, and when I asked her why, she said it’s because I’ve cut way back on my sugar/carbs. She said that baking for me brought her joy, and if I didn’t eat sweets, she didn’t feel like baking. So, I told her I’d eat whatever she bakes and not worry about the sugar/carbs.
That made her happy, so she made these Pecan Shortbread Chocolate Cookies – she got the recipe from this book!
On Saturday, Evan and I took the girls and Huck couch/sectional shopping – again! They had a blast at the store, but Evan and I walked away feeling overwhelmed, drained…and it was just too many choices, not enough value for the money, etc.
Our choices were limited because we needed enough seating for all of us, but our living room is really long and narrow, so it had to fit! Most of the sectionals we found were too wide – they covered up the backdoor, so it had to fit a specific footprint, which was very challenging to find.
The girls trying out a triple bunk bed in the store:
Ellie loved this little yellow push car they had at the furniture store. She had a blast being pushed around the giant warehouse while we couch shopped! Ginger, of course, found a book to read. Haha.
We almost decided on a couch at the store, but then when I went online and looked at reviews – they were horrible! The reviews all said the fabric was not durable, ripped easily, and the cushions were terrible after a month…
So, we did what we always do and went to Craigslist! We shopped for some *almost* new designer sectionals, and narrowed it down to two options. One option was a super nice Design Within Reach (DWR) leather sectional, and the other was a Crate and Barrel fabric sectional. Evan really wanted the leather one, but I was hesitant because it cost a lot more. But then, seeing that he wanted it, I was like…what the heck?! So, I agreed to the leather expensive one…it really was beautiful.
But as soon as we went to text the DWR leather couch guy back, the Craigslist listing disappeared! It turned out that the seller sold it a few minutes before – after having the listing up on Craigslist for months. So, that made the choice easy. It was like the fabric sectional was meant to be!
We went and picked up our “new” couch in Culver City – and it is perfect! It was a really good value, and it’s super comfortable, and big enough for us all to watch movies together. Score!
Ellie (4) on our new couch – I will get a better picture of it next week:
Evan was able to pick up the couch while the girls were at piano lessons, and we got it home and assembled it before they were done! That very night, we all watched Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix on it together.
Here’s Violet (7) decked out in her Harry Potter attire – Hogwarts pants, Griffindor shirt, and she even saved her Gilly water bottle from Harry Potter World! She says she’s the biggest fan of Harry Potter in the whole world. 🙂
Which leads me to my next point: We finished our family read-aloud of Harry Potter Book 5 (Order of the Phoenix) this past weekend! After we finish each book, we pop popcorn and make butter beer – and watch the movie together as a family. It’s very festive, and the girls look forward to it so much.
We had some fun at Paprika’s old school playground…it was warm and sunny, and just about perfect:
I wore Huck (8 months) in the old baby carrier – yes, it’s feminine, but so am I! Haha. This was one of the first times I’ve been able to “wear” him because of my pelvic issue. I think my pelvic pain issue is starting to heal itself. I’m having whole days now without debilitating pain, which is a first for almost a year and a half now. This makes me so happy and grateful!
Ginger and her daddy:
Huck is ALL over the place, and is about to get his first set of bottom teeth. I took the battery out of the TV remote so he could play with it:
He pulls up on everything, wants to crawl after his sisters around the house – and is generally frustrated that he can’t do everything they can do!
More than anything, Huck needs his mind engaged at all times. Translation: he gets bored easily!
Watching “Daddy’s Show” (aka The Bachelor) with me! Haha:
Hanging out with Daisy:
He loves to clap, and will also try to play “Just Dance” with the girls when they’re playing on the Nintendo Switch! It’s pretty hilarious.
Out for a walk with me and Paprika, when Evan was home on Saturday:
The wind was so strong, it blew over one of our neighbor’s trees!
Huck hanging with two of his besties:
Another day, another park!
We made homemade lemonade popsicles using the lemons from the backyard. They were a hit!
We used these cool things to make them, and they were great because they had little straws attached to catch the melted juice. Fancy!
I put Paprika’s hair in a huge bun. Her hair is so long, and I am learning fun ways to braid it and style it. It turns out, there is a learning curve – this was my first attempt!
And last, but not least – Miss Ellie (4) has now seen the movie Frozen, and has been pretending to be Queen Elsa. She “freezes” us all at her whim – and we all play along.
On this day, she was freezing Ginger (9) as Ginger was eating lunch. Ginger would stop mid-bite, and hang there until Ellie “unfroze” her. Ellie, of course, thinks this is the best thing of all!
I will be back on Tuesday with another post about our happenings. We’ve had a fun week, so I’m excited to share it with you. 🙂 Hope you have a great rest of your week, and that things are going well for you.
Be well, and I’ll talk to you on Tuesday!
